Preliminary tour assignments/schedules for Saturday and Sunday. Please note these are subject to change. A final schedule will be provided when you arrive at the Ale on Friday night. Directions and maps for Saturday are below the tour schedule.
All teams are at the college together until 12:30 pm.

After the conclusion of the massed stand on Elliot St. teams are free to dine on their own in or around Brattleboro. There will also be a potluck picnic/grill in the camping area on the field for those who wish to return to the College.

For ALL tours, first head East on South Road towards Ransom Road. Stay right on South Road then turn right onto VT-9 E towards Brattleboro…
Take a right just West of (before) Brattleboro on Guilford St. Take the second left turn, Maple Street, over a small bridge. Stay on the main road past Austine School and under I-91. Stay on the main road (Maple Avenue) as it bears left. Continue down the hill. Thompson House is on the right by the hospital; just before Maple Avenue intersects with Route 5. Dance in the parking lot outside. After continue to Route 5 (Canal Street), turn left into town and park in a town lot.
Continue past I-91 heading into town. Holton Memorial Home is a large flagstone building with pillars on the right. It is about 1/4 mile past I-91. Park on the street and dance in the driveway out back. After, continue straight into town and park in a downtown lot.
TOUR 3 – PINE HEIGHTS
Take a right just West of (before) Brattleboro onto Guilford St. Take the second left turn, Maple Street, over a small bridge. Stay on the main road past Austine School and under I-91. Stay on the main road (Maple Avenue) as it bears left. Continue straight to Route 5 (Canal Street). Turn right. Take the first left onto Oak Grove Avenue. Take first left into Pine Heights Driveway. Dance in driveway. After, turn right on Route 5 to town.
Pass I-91 and head straight into town. Bear left at the fork by the Gulf Station. At the light turn left. Bear right at the Y junction and pass the Common on your left. Take the first right – North Street. At the end of the block go, through the stone gate posts and bear left onto Harris Place. Hilltop is the large house on the right sitting on a small hill. Dance in driveway. After, return to town and park in one of the town lots.
TOUR 5 – MELROSE TERRACE
In West Brattleboro (Rte. 9 becomes Western Ave.) Turn left onto George Miller Drive (beyond Gillie’s Restaurant on left). (Sign for “Brattleboro Housing Authority”) Turn left at fork onto Melrose Street. Follow around circle to far side of central buildings. Parking on left, opposite apartment complex. Walk down path between apartment bldgs. #95 and #111 to a central paved circle with a benches and picnic tables. Dance here. After dancing: Continue on Melrose Street in same direction to stop sign with Western Ave. The farmer’s market is located on Western Ave. near the covered bridge BEFORE I-91.
Pass I-91 and head straight into town. Stay on Rt. 9 as it becomes High St. then turn left on Main St. (still Rt. 9). At the junction with Rt. 30 go around the triangle to end up on Linden St. Take the first right onto Ann Marsh Lane. Park at the Retreat building and dance where instructed. After the stand, return to town and park in one of the town lots.
After your first dance stand, follow the directions to downtown Brattleboro and park your car. The remaining stands are all walkable. There is long-term parking at the far end of the High/Grove Lot, Transportation Center Lot, and Preston Lot. There is no long-term parking in the Harmony lot (2 hrs max). Once you have parked, consult the downtown Brattleboro map on the next page to locate your second dance stand and pub stop.
